Prime Minister’s Youth Programme to Collaborate with IT Ministry for Job Creation
Mr. Muhammad Usman Dar, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Youth Affairs, called on Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication for exploring options to create jobs for youth through the promotion of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui shed light on various initiatives of the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication for training youth in information technology related skills. These initiatives are aimed at economic empowerment of youth through the creation of jobs and promotion of entrepreneurship using Information Technology. It was agreed in the meeting that new initiatives in this regard would be introduced in coordination with Prime Minister’s Youth Programme for creating more job opportunities to enable youth contribute productively in the economic development of the country. The role of National Incubation Centres of the Ministry of IT & Telecommunication in this regard was highly appreciated. Mr. Muhammad Usman Dar thanked Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui for his commitment for the creation of job opportunities for youth as per the requirements of modern information communication technology based knowledge economy.
