SAPM on Youth Affairs holds meeting with UNHCR Representative in Pakistan
The UNHCR Representative in Pakistan, Ms. Noriko Yoshida called on Usman Dar, SAPM on Youth Affairs at Prime Minister’s Office Islamabad. Mr. Dar briefed her about the initiatives being taken under Kamyab Jawan programme for the development of youth and emphasized on the need to collaborate with international organizations for the greater benefit of youth. “Kamyab Jawan program has been providing commendable opportunities to young people of Pakistan so that they become a constructive part of society. It is important to make them self-reliant and skilled to utilize their capabilities and potential to the fullest.” stated Usman Dar SAPM ensured his full support for UNHCR for the development and progress of young refugees in Pakistan. “We should work together for the betterment and development of Afghan refugees residing in Pakistan.” expressed Usman Dar. UNHCR Representative, Ms. Noriko Yoshida expressed her gratitude to SAPM on Youth Affairs for showing his interest in extending cooperation with UNHCR for Afghan refugees. “We need to collaborate on common grounds for youth development.” Ms. Noriko Yoshida It was agreed during the meeting to initiate further discussion regarding the possibility of a pilot project between Kamyab Jawan programme and UNHCR for future collaboration.
