Adnan Shaffi is the Co-Founder & CEO at PriceOye.pk, Pakistan’s leading Shopping Intelligence Platform. He is a serial entrepreneur and has been associated with management and governance of several companies for over 8 years. Adnan was featured by Forbes magazine as 30 under 30 and has won several awards including Asia Pacific ICT Awards Guangzhou and P@SHA ICT Awards among others. He holds an MBA from Karachi School of Business & Leadership (KSBL) and a bachelor degree in engineering.

AMNA KAUSAR (PUNJAB)

Projects Manager, PILDAT Coordinator, Young Politicians’ Fellowship Programme (YPFP) Ms. Amna Kausar has been associated with PILDAT since June 2014. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Sciences from Kinnaird College, Lahore and carries professional experience in the field of research, development, management and communication.  
Amna has been working as Specialist on the Political Party Strengthening Programme of Tabeer- Consolidating Democracy in Pakistan (CDIP). As part of her duties, she acted and continues to perform the role of Coordinator of Pakistan’s first-ever Young Politicians’ Fellowship Programme (YPFP) that took place in March-April, 2019. She’s currently actively engaged in designing and planning forthcoming cohorts of the YPFP. Earlier, she organized Youth Dialogues on Peaceful, Democratic Governance and Sustainable Development across the country. Amna had been working on the Development of Political Parties and Leadership under the Democracy and Governance programme and produced various assessment reports on the subject. She was responsible in the facilitation of delivering one-day capacity building courses for the leadership of Pakistan’s three major political parties on the subject of Public Policy. Amna has a penchant for writing and in addition to having a number of PILDAT publications to her name, she has written for different national online and print media.

DILEEP KUMAR

DILEEP KUMAR (SINDH)

Dileep Kumar was born in remote and far flung rural village deprived of basic needs of life; belongs to a lower middle class family with a rich educational background. Grown up in a small town of Tharparkar, Sindh named Mithi. He has done B.E in electrical engineering, M.A in political science & LLB, by profession he is a practicing lawyer. The areas of law that he most engages with are Human rights, cybercrime, and criminal law. He is a socio-political and human right activist since last 10 years. He is also a writer and his writings are comprised for mainstream Sindhi & Urdu daily newspapers. He is a youth facilitator and speaker on different training workshops, conferences, conventions, youth forums, community leaders and young professionals. He used to publish quarterly socio-political and literary magazine “Safeer-e-Sindh”. He also worked with different organizations as program & project manager for the betterment of educational system, women empowerment, promotion of peace, tolerance & social justice, legal & political awareness of the masses and so on.

DR. FAISAL KHAN

DR. FAISAL KHAN (KHYBER PAKHTUNKHWA)

Young global leader 2019, at the world economic forum pioneering biologist and award winning entrepreneur. He has done masters & PhD in Biotechnology from University of Oxford and developed machine learning algorithms to predict gene functions in cell division. He established Peshawar 2.0 and basecamp to develop the technology startup ecosystem in Peshawar, created opportunities for tens of thousands of youth in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He is founder & Assistant professor Institute of Integrative Biosciences, CECOS University, Peshawar. He is also the founder of CECOS-RMI Precision Medicine Lab focusing on Cancer Genomics, founder of CECOS-IM Science Joint Centre for Bio-economy. Along with all these, he is the board member of 12+ federal and provincial bodies and task forces including KP-IT Board, KP-Youth development commission, Elementary education foundation and Higher Education Research Endowment Fund. He has won numerous national and international scholarships and awards including Young development leader award by Planning Commission, Oxford University Noon Scholarship and St. Anne’s College Domus Award.

FARRUKH AWAIS (AZAD JAMMU AND KASHMIR)

M. Phil scholar, Ms. Farrukh Awais, is a youth and social activist hailing from Azad Kashmir. She is working efficiently as Youth Head at Pakistan Girls Guide Association. She is working as an agent of change through her oratory skills. She has been part of various leadership and peace initiatives. Having a brighter career of debate with various distinctions, she aims to give her energies for the youth of Pakistan.

HAMZA ALI ABBASI

Mr. Hamza Ali Abbasi is theatre, film and television actor and director. He gained his Bachelor's in International Relations from the United States and his Master's in the same subject from the Quaid-e-Azam University, Pakistan. He also passed the Central Superior Services (CSS) exams and was working as a civil service officer in the police group before abandoning the job to concentrate on his passions, film-making and acting. He received the Best Star Debut Male and Best Supporting Actor awards at the 1st ARY Film Awards.

HASAN ALI (PUNJAB)

Emerging Player of year 2018 by Pakistan Cricket Board Mr. Hassan Ali is a young fast bowler from Gujranwala who made his international debut for Pakistan in 2016. In 2017, Hassan was part of the Peshawar Zalmi squad that won the Pakistan Super League. He also won ‘Man of the Tournament’ award for his 13 wickets in 5 games of the ICC Champions Trophy 2017. He is the fastest to get 50 ODI wickets in Pakistan. Hassan Ali was named ‘Emerging Player of the Year’ by PCB and ‘Emerging Cricketer of the Year’ by ICC in 2017. He was the top ODI bowler in the end of 2017 and was named ‘ODI Player of the Year’ by PCB in 2018.

KARISHMA ALI

KARISHMA ALI (KHYBER PAKHTUNKHWA)

Female national footballer, Forbes 30 under 30. She was a member of Pakistan Football Team participated in Jubilee Games 2016, AFL International Cup 2017. She achieved gold medals in women’s national football championship 2018, DJ games AKYSB 2018 and silver medals in International Jubilee Games 2016, State bank women’s football tournament 2016 and AKYSBP 2015. She received rising star award by Pakistan’s National Women’s AFL team in 2017 and won FAST University Football Tournament 2016, Nust Futsal Tournament 2019 and Roots Olympiad 2016. She is also founder and head coach of Chitral Women’s sports club and midfield coach of Young Rising Star FC. Along with all these, she is also a founder of handicraft center in Chitral and is working with Agha Khan social welfare board as a volunteer. She is English tutor since 2010 at Al-Zahra Polestar Public School. Chitral.

KHALIDA BROHI

KHALIDA BROHI (BALOCHISTAN)

Ms. Khalida Brohi, from Balochistan, is an activist and social entrepreneur. She is founder and executive director of Sughar Foundation, a non-profit organization, she is dedicated to provide rural women in Pakistan with socio-economic opportunities and education. Khalida is also the co-founder of The Chai Spot with her husband, a social enterprise that brings the beautiful cultures of Pakistan to United States via chai, handmade products, stories and events. Khalida is also the author of her memoir named “I Should Have Honor”, highlighting stories of her childhood in Balochistan and what led her to work for women’s rights in Pakistan. Khalida has twice been named among Forbes’ 30 under 30 for social entrepreneurship. She was awarded with the Inaugural Emerging Global Leader award by Buffet Institute, the Director’s fellowship at MIT Lab, Boston; the angel award by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Center, named among Newsweek’s’ 25 Under 25 women of impact, named among the Nation’s 100 women who matter in Pakistan. She was also awarded an award by Women in the world foundation, women of excellence by the government of Sindh. Khalida has spoken on the stages like TED-Global, Davos, the World Affairs Council, Together Live, Google Zeitgeist, Facebook, Trip Advisor and the Pilosio Building Peace award summit.

KHURRAM LALANI

KHURRAM LALANI (SINDH)

Mr. Khurram Lalani graduated as a Fulbright scholar with a master’s degree in Energy Policy from the University of Delaware in 2013. He is an energy and infrastructure consultant with over ten years of experience in international finance, sustainable development and energy policy issues and has served as a senior economic and policy advisor to the Federal Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Energy and Ministry of Climate Change, among various other provincial government assignments. During his advisory work for the Government, he has worked extensively on policy frameworks for Public Private Partnerships (PPP), infrastructure finance, energy policy, subsidy agenda, energy reforms and tariffs and regulatory scoping. Prior to his current role, he worked with Citigroup in Corporate Finance and Advisory Services. Khurram has also contributed as an Op-ed writer for the Express Tribune and has also written for Dawn EBR columns. Apart from his advisory work, Khurram founded Consuldents (www.consuldents.com) – a graduate student opportunities platform where Pakistani students can work on short-term industry projects and competitions, find scholarships and fellowships, display their final year projects to industry professionals for mentoring and feedback and apply to exclusive fresh graduate jobs and internships. Consuldents has grown rapidly across Pakistan, attracting several awards and news features and has been able to create the biggest academia-industry platform in the country. For his work for the youth development in Pakistan and on energy and sustainable development, Khurram has been selected as the member of the first ever, Prime Minister’s National Youth Council in Pakistan.

Ghazi of zarb-e-azab, tamgha-e-jurat, lost his leg during the Shawwal operation; Major Tanveer Shafi belongs to Swat, KPK. He got his commission in 22 Punjab in April, 2011. He is a war wounded officer and have participated in operation Al-Mizan and operation Zarb-e-Azab. He got injured in Shawwal valley, North Waziristan in 2015. He was awarded tamgha-e-bisalat for his performance in zarb-e-azab.

Marvia Malik is Pakistan’s first transgender TV anchor who worked as a makeup artist in order to fund her higher studies, before pursuing a career in mass media, graduating with a degree in latter from Punjab University. She then applied for a position at Koh-e-noor news. Regarding the breakthrough with her becoming a news anchor, Marvia has stated that: “Our society treats transgender people shamefully, degrades them, denies them of jobs, laughs at them and taunts them. I want to change that.” She has previously modelled as well and has walked the ramp for the Pakistan Fashion Design Council’s fashion week in Lahore, a job that she got through the students of Lahore Grammar School. In March 2018, Marvia became the first transgender person to fill the role of newsreader on any Pakistani news broadcast. This occurrence attracted media’s attention, she is now working with Koh-e-noor news “Azad Bhi, Zimaydar Bhi”. The news channel helped her to groom in the field of journalism. She is also planning to advocate the property rights for trans persons in Pakistan. She is also demanding reservation for trans persons in employment and in parliament. She does not believe in the term “Third gender”.

Molana Muhammad Ahmad Jallandhari belongs to a great educationalist and religious family of Pakistan, his father Molana Muhammad hainf Jallandhari is a prominent religious scholar, his Grand Grandfather Hazrat Molana Khair Muhammad Jallandhari was also a renowned religious scholar of his time. He is very confident, articulate, assertive and flexible individual with professional approach to many things in life. He is an Enthusiastic teacher and speaker with strong interpersonal and communication skills in Urdu, English, Arabic and Punjabi. He had gone through traditional religious education system and done Shahada tul Almiaya from Wifaq ul madaris Al Arabia Pakistan which is equivalent to Masters in Islamic and Arabic Studies, after that he got admission in M.Phil Islamic Studies at Bahauddin Zakariya University Multan and completed it with high grades. Currently he is teaching various subjects of Dars-e-Nizami and doing some research and administrative work at Jamia Khair Ul Madaris Multan.

Sadia Bashir is the founder of PixelArt Games Academy (PGA), which is Pakistan’s first games academy. She has done bachelors and MS in computer science and has been working in the game industry for past 8 years. She founded PixelArt Games Academy about 4 years ago. PGA is a training academy that teach game development, design and production, art and animation through collaborative learning experience. She has also established a GameLab at PGA to help developers to design & Implement creative ideas. She has been listed as Forbes 30 Under 30 in Enterprise technology 2018 and recognized as a Global Gaming Citizen at The Game Awards 2018 by Facebook Gaming. She is currently working on an AR based travel adventure game.

Samina Baig hails from Shimshal village in Hunza Gojal, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan, and was trained in mountaineering at the age of 15 by her brother. Her expeditions were a demonstration of gender equality, as the philosophy she follows in her climbing exploits. Samina Baig who became the first Pakistani woman to mark her presence at the world highest mountain Mount Everest (8848 meters above sea level) on May 19.2013. Samina started her mountaineering career with climbing Chashkin Sar, a 6000 meters peak in Shmishal in 2010. She also climbed Koh-i-Brobar in 2011. Ist women winter expedition to 6050 menter peak Minglighsar in 2010. While an attempt at the 7000m high Spantik Peak ended in failure due to adverse weather conditions on the mountain. Samina Baig is also the 1st Pakistani women to attempt second highest mountain in the world, K-2, in 2015 but after suffering an injury while climbing was forced to call of her bid to summit. Samina is first Muslim women to climb the seven highest mountains in Seven continents “Mt. Everest of Asia, Mt. Aconcagua ,South America. Mt. Vinson ,Antarctica, Mt. Kilimanjaro Africa. Mt. Denali North America. Mt. Punjack Jaya ,Oceana. Mt. Elbrus, Russia/Europe) Samina Baig is also part of Pakistan Youth Outreach Foundation (PYOF), a local organization established by her family. PYO reaches out to Pakistani youth to raise awareness about outdoor education and mountaineering while also promoting women adventure sports such as mountaineering, Skiing, rock climbing and ice climbing in Pakistan. The slogan of PYOF is to “Educate Youth through Expeditions.” They aim to work on education in Pakistan.

Sana Mir is a cricketer and the former captain of the Pakistan national women's cricket team in ODIs and T20Is. In October 2018, she became the first Pakistani women cricketer to rank number 1 in ICC ODI bowler ranking. She has led Pakistan to two Gold medals in Asian Games 2010 and 2014. She was announced Player of the Tournament at the 2008 Women's Cricket World Cup Qualifier, and currently ranks 1st in the Women's ODI Bowlers in the ICC Player Rankings. She has been in Top 20 ICC rankings for last 9 years. During her Captaincy 8 players from Pakistan have made their way into the top 20 ICC rankings. In February 2017, during the 2017 Women's Cricket World Cup Qualifier, she became the first Pakistan woman to take 100 wickets in WODIs. In February 2019, she became the first woman for Pakistan to play in 100 Women's Twenty20 International matches.

Shazia Batool belongs to Quetta and has completed her masters in fine arts from Lahore University. She was awarded medal of excellence (Sitara-e-Imtiaz) from Government of Pakistan, national youth award 2008, provisional youth award 2008, an expedition award 2010, United nation’s women award and many more. From last twenty-five years, she is suffering from infantile paralysis called poliomyelitis caused by a viral inflammation of the gray matter of the spinal cord: it is accompanied by paralysis of the various muscle groups that sometimes atrophy, often with resulting permanent deformation. She is founder of Breaking Barriers Women (BBW). She formed this group to provide platform to the women with disabilities. A platform through which they can beat up the pathetic circumstances of the society. As, she herself is differently able so she can understand the feelings and the situation through which other differently ables are suffering. The aim of Breaking Barriers Women is to empower the women with disabilities so that they can feel proud of themselves and their different abilities. Shazia says more about this: “As I completed my education I started searching a job for me, need a settled future, a future where I do not need anyone’s support. My disability is never a hurdle in my way. If I can defeat my disability and the whole society through my courage, then I can also take very strong and progressive decisions of my life and I have taken those steps too. My disability is always a courage for me and I try to motivate people that no matter what type of circumstances you’re going through, never losing the hope which is the real power and light.”

(Parindey NGO, Global goodwill Ambassador) Sonal Dhanani is a creative professional, NLP practitioner and facilitator keen on promoting education, mental health initiatives and social action in Pakistan. She has been the fellow of 2016 Atlantic Council fellowship called "Emerging Leaders of Pakistan" and 2018 "Young connectors of the future" fellowship by Swedish Institute. She is currently working as Project Manager with The Family Educational and Services Foundation for the youth and community development project. She has participated in organizing literary seminars and events celebrating the work of artists and writers in promoting peace and harmony by harnessing the positive energies of expressive arts. She sees art as a uniting force between people irrespective of race, religion, caste, color, gender, ethnicity, or language. In 2015, she started an initiative called Parindey means birds which focuses at providing the creative therapies (art, music and cinema therapy) in the community and using arts and culture as a tool to build resilient communities. The program focuses on mental health well-being to diminish depression, anxiety, and similar psychological conditions. Through these organizations, Sonal is participating in the mainstream process of peace at the people-to-people level.

ZAIN ASHRAF MUGHAL (PUNJAB)

Last year, Zain was the first Pakistani to receive Common-wealth Youth Award for Excellence in Development work by the Royal family of (UK) United Kingdom. He established 650+ micro entrepreneurs who used to live below poverty line and sent 1800 children back to school. He has presented Pakistan at the round table meeting with Prince Williams Duke of Cambridge, at the heads of government meeting in UK. He also represented Pakistan at OIC in 2015 as a speaker. He launched Pakistan’s 1st (NPO) crowd funding platform, Seed Out and is founder & CEO of www.eccountant.co. Along with this, he is also working as managing director of Super Asia group, Whirlpool Pakistan and Hardees Pakistan.

ZOE VICCAJI

ZOE VICCAJI

Zoe started her career at the age of seventeen by joining a local band Ganda Bandas. Few years later she moved to the United States where she studied in Hamilton College, New York. She also worked in stage musicals Mamma Mia! and Chicago. After returning to Pakistan, she released her debut single Thinking About Youin 2009. She joined Coke Studio in 2010 and collaborated with Strings and Bilal Khan and released the singles Mera Bichra Yaar and Anjane featuring Strings and Bilal Khan. Mera Bichra Yaar was nominated at 11th Lux Style Awards for Song of the Year. Zoe released her debut album Dareeche in September 2014 under Universal Music India. In 2015, it won the Best Mixed Album award at the Indian Recording Arts (IRA) in India and Lux Style Award for Best Album in Pakistan. The album spawned a single “Phir Mili Tanhai”.
