PM Imran Khan launches Pakistan’s biggest sports programme Kamyab Jawan Sports Drive
Prime Minister Imran Khan launched, the biggest sports programme in the Pakistan’s history, Kamyab Jawan Sports Drive at Jinnah Stadium Sports Complex, Islamabad on December 6. Former British footballer Michael Owen also joined the Kamyab Jawan Sports Drive to promote football and help bring Pakistan’s local talent to an international level. “I’m ready to play a role to bring the Pakistani youth from “local to a global” level,” stated Michael Owen. An official video of the special song of Kamyab Jawan Sports Drive has been released during the launch event to revive the sports culture in Pakistan waking up youth’s passion for the sports. Under ‘Kamyab Jawan Sports Drive’, 12 different games inducing football, cricket, hockey, badminton, boxing, handball, judo, squash, table tennis, volleyball, weightlifting and wrestling would be arranged across 25 regions of Pakistan including Gilgit Baltistan and AJ&K. Under the programme, sports academies and high-performance centers in 12 universities are being established to train successful players who would represent the country in different games at the international level.
